Three layers of defense
Each feature works on the part of your phone most likely to hit the ground first.
Protective outer shell
The sides are TPU, a material that is tough but flexible. When you drop your phone it absorbs the impact instead of letting it pass through to the phone itself. Each of the four inside corners has a small recessed pocket that adds extra impact absorption if your phone lands directly on a corner.
Extended lip
The TPU sides protrude slightly past the front screen, so a facedown phone rests on the edges of the case, not the glass. We still highly recommend a screen protector: a drop onto a rock or other sharp object can break exposed glass.
Camera protection
Another raised lip surrounds all of your camera lenses to help protect them against drops. If you are really worried about your lenses, most camera lens protectors are easily compatible with our cases too.

After a full year using this case, I can say it holds up! I've dropped, lightly thrown, worked out, ran, and pretty much put this case through a years test with my active lifestyle. Does it protect the screen?
The TPU sides extend slightly past the front glass, so a facedown phone rests on the case edges instead of the screen. We still highly recommend pairing it with a screen protector, since a drop onto a rock or other sharp object can break exposed glass.
What about the camera lenses?
A raised lip surrounds all of the camera lenses so they sit recessed from whatever surface the phone lands on. If you want even more peace of mind, most stick-on camera lens protectors are easily compatible with our cases.
